Because
so many of our guests have told us we should have breakfast photos on
our website as an added inducement to prospective guests, we are at last
yielding to the pressure and complying. We
actually prefer to surprise our guests with a breakfast they do not expect
to receive at a farmhouse.
Breakfast
generally begins with fresh fruit or a creamy breakfast parfait of oats,
fresh and dried fruits, nuts and yogurt with fruit and mint garnish, pictured
here.
Our
"breakfast special" is a very special breakfast of eggs baked
in phyllo pastry with chopped spinach and parmesan cheese and garnished
with a drizzle of hollandaise sauce. We usually serve it with grilled peameal
bacon and various sides such as asparagus, mushrooms, or other vegetables.
Fresh fruit and edible flowers in season make guests run for the camera
before they tuck in.
Another
favourite is fresh-from-the-oven raisin biscuits and home made jams and
preserves. From spring through fall and occasionally during the winter,
breakfast is served in the sunroom with its view of the birds and gardens
and whatever wildlife might choose to wander by. 
Another
breakfast speciality is waffles fresh from the waffle iron, served with
English banger sausages, fresh fruit, and pure Muskoka maple syrup.
We are happy to make menu accommodations for vegetarians and allergies. Please just let us know of any dietary needs and preferences when you book.
